Took a shower at home after getting back from Broga Hill, and headed out again! This time.. I wanted to go to Ampang lookout point, also known as little Genting to some, and Ginyi said she know the way. Great! But……. it turns out there were TWO little Gentings.. wtf?!
This is the one that Ginyi knows.. one at Cheras.. it’s nothing much, just a road on the way up to some residential areas with a view of the KL skyline.. sigh, well at least the view was ok.. but since I stayed at TARC Hostel for 2 years, with a window facing KLCC, it wasn’t anything breathtaking :p Read the rest of this entry »

Just got a Minolta 70-210mm f4 lens, also known as the legendary beercan! That’s the black cylinder on the right.. hehe.. Can’t wait to test it out this weekend.. weeee~~!
Sunday Pt 1 - Broga Hill

My sifu, Raymond invited me to join them on a hiking trip to Broga Hill, on Saturday.. just 1 day before.. said he remember I like to take pictures, so extended the invitation to me.. Well, at least now they know I’m pretty much an outdoor guy =) Another colleague of mine said “yay, got member dy”

Quickie: New Year’s at 1Utama

Hm, seeing how void my blog’s front page is of pictures, here’s a few quick ones. Went 1Utama for new year’s celebrations again this year.. but this year, I’m armed with an SLR!
As usual, there were numerous chinese artists lined up to perform. Stupid me, I didn’t start using the 50mm prime until almost midnight. Cropping at 50mm produces much better result than at 70mm on the kit lens.. Read the rest of this entry »
It’s 2009 Already!

Can’t believe it’s been such a long time since I’ve last updated here. The last post was dated Dec 11!
Boy, come to think of it.. time really does fly.. seems like it wasn’t too long ago from last year’s Christmas, going to 1Utama for New Year’s countdown. Yes yes.. I went to 1Utama again this year, but with an A200 though :p
Let’s see, briefly what I’ve done in 2008:
- Finished my studies at TARC
- Got a temp job at Kone Elevator, met some great people there..
- Bought my first SLR, the Sony A200, and met a special someone :p
- Bought my 2nd lens, a Minolta 50mm 1.7
- Went Liverpool to further my studies.
- Travelled in UK, including the oh so beautiful Scotland, a trip all the way to Land’s End, and also Southport, twice.
- Went to Italy – Rome, Pisa and Venice.
- Did a few shoots with some very nice ladies =)
- Got a fantastic job.
- Shot ex-colleague’s wedding – my first wedding shoot!
Hm, so what’s with new years? Usually new year resolutions.. I only have 2 so far:
- Put in more effort in my work. Or to put it in more direct terms, to keep my job!
- Travel more and take more photos.
